Hooking up Laptop LCD to desktop

    I have Dell Dimension Laptop that won't power up. Is there any way I can hook up the 15" LCD screen to my desktop computer?

    Anyone? please? I have this perfectly good LCD screen on a dead laptop. I probably can't get more than a few buck on ebay so I'd really like to make good use of the screen.

    Look into its compatibility with which models and then search for a laptop with a broken LCD screen on eBay and use the two to make a working unit. Otherwise I think you are looking at some major work and expertise to get it to function with your desktop.

    look for threads on making projectors out of laptop lcd's.
    I don't think they generally work too well, but it sounds like a fun project
