Overly Critical Guy writes "According to Chud, the Hitchhiker's Guide movie is a go." It's too bad DNA won't be around to see it, but good news for his fans. I hope they can borrow Weta Digital's render farm to perfect some of the characters, though anything will be an improvement on the BBC series' special effects.

Does anyone know what happened to the HHGTTG game they were developing? it was a third person puzzle solving game (hopefully nowhere near as hard as the old text based one)

I'd say the movie was a disapointment. But the books were so good it was a hard standard to meet.

Yes, it was a very big dissappointment to me as well. Parts of it, very few parts , were pretty good but overall it was a piece of crap. I'm glad I read the book for at least I know what it could have been like if it followed the book better as well as the acting, special effects and on and on....

After watching the tv series the movie was always going to be disappointing. I think they were hoping to make enough money to make the sequels but nothing seems forthcoming yet; Alas, the best laid plans of mice...;)
