Is it possible that high pain thresholds in a person can cause audio/visual hallucinations?

I don't think I'm crazy with my back pain, but thats what most crazy people say right? hmmm maybe not though.

    What do YOU think?

unlikly (though i cant say for sure), it could be that something like syfilis could cause halucinations AND a high pain tollerance, as could any number of other mental or oganic causes. high dose pain meds also could cause halucinations but as far as i kniw both would be symptoms. ie they may have a common cause but one wouldnt cause the other. any halucinations should be checked out by a nerologist and or psycirtrist because its quite serious in and of itself and can be a sign of something else (to many to name)
