Well a few days ago I had just newly installed a hard drive and installed Windows XP Home on it. Earlier today when I came home from work and started up the comp, it brought me to the safe mode prompt. After selecting normal startup, the screen then changed to the XP logo with the bar at the bottom and then suddenly my computer just restarts. So I went back and selected safe mode option, and my computer restarts again! No matter how many times I select a different option, my computer would always restart. Feeling frustrated, I booted up my OEM Windows XP disc and tried to access the recovery console and got the dreaded blue screen. The screen gave me an error message of this sort "STOP - 0x0000024". Anyways I had to reinstall windows but I was wondering what caused that problem? I have never had so many problems with this Alienware computer. The Dell computer I bought in 2000 NEVER had an serious issues.
