Okay, i'm trying to install Heroes of Might and Magic II onto an XP, and i get the message:-



C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate program


How can i make it XP compatible, or should i give up all hope?

Well usually when trying to run old games like that you either have to generate a link to the file that executes and set it up to be Win98 compatible, Or if you are lucky enough to have a system with enough RAM and a processor over about 800Mhz you should probably look at downloading DOSbox from http://dosbox.sourceforge.net

It's a DOS Emulator if you need DOS for old games :D
