Work real hard for a year, minimize expenses and save as much as possible.

Dress in shitty old clothes, bring only a backpack and the essentials. Stay in hostels. Pick cheap countries.

Honestly, the cost of travel for visiting 100 countries is not worth it. I recommed sticking to places like India, Nepal, Thailand, etc. Also, sites such as http://www.indiamike.com/ are more helpful than SF as those people have actually left their native countries.
