    i'm a writer and i got a new computer. so nautruly i wanted to move files. from my other pc to my new one. so i put the files on disks. and then gave the old pc away. and then something like 2 weeks later i decided to upload the files from disk then boom! it said they were crupt! i about killed the thing. crupt what do you mean crupt. so first thing called about my old pc to find out they reformatted it so the was nothing left there. so now i have the disks with dire importance to retrive the files( for they have storys on them that are very imoportant!) how can i get them back. i havn't reformatteed the disks or any thing. so what can i do?

    Good news :
    Can you have you old hard drive? If you can, then, there are some software that could help you even if it has been formated (just hope that they didn't put too much data on it...).

    Bad news :
    About you actual disk, if the data are corupted... I don't know any way to correct it. Sorry!

    I'm not going to lecture you for using floppy disks for important data... so here is a link to one of the sites that does data recovery. These guys are in teh UK, but if you do a search you should be able to find a good one.
