Does anybody watch this show? I only caught a couple episodes last season. The new season started and I am watching it from the beginning this time. I think it is great, I really get a kick out of it. Chef Ramsey is really something else, when it comes to insults. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! The kids have been watching it to and are killing themselves laughing sometimes. I don't know if this show is supposed to be a comedy between all the bleeping, but I find it highly entertaining. Haven't seen Hell's Kitchen, but I do remember a few episodes of this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/chef/
yeah i saw it when it was on in the UK, and i do belive that hell's kitchen USA starts soon, i think gordon ramsey is brilliant and funny and doesnt care what he says
That doesn't strike me as someone that is brilliant and funny. Seems more like a mindless bully..
Gordon Ramsay is great. He shows such passion and commitment and I completely understand the expletives, and somehow, it doesn't seem rude when he swears. I like "Hell's Kitchen", but prefer "The F Word" and "Kitchen Nightmares" which he's also in. If you get a chance, watch the latter, where he goes to failing restaurants and turns their business around. He not only cooks good food, but changes people's lives in that show.
I have been watching Kitchen Nightmares too. I liked the episode not long ago where he went to help out the Italian Restaurant. He really told that one guy off who was so full of himself. It is nice to see ppl come down a notch when someone actually stands up to them. Up until now, I only caught the show here and there. It has really drawn me in now and I actually know what days it's on. I don't like much of what's on TV, but I really like both these shows. Last night he had some really good insults....lol
Hey he is looking for the best of the best to run his famous top notch restaurants. He wants someone that not only knows how to cook and run a kitchen but can stand the pressure. It is why his restaurants around the world are such a success. Considering he can't be at all of them himself wouldn't you expect a lot from your staff? Btw: If he screamed at me like that, I would probably start crying. lol I don't mind criticism, but the insults ...Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
So continuously putting down and insulting your cooks is normal practice in restaurant kitchens ? I find that hard to believe. Anyway, one achieves so much more with positive reinforcement than with letting people feel like shit. I would expect them to work hard and do their best, but I certainly wouldn't expect them to take this kind of shit..

agreed. For me its like watching Jerry Springer, so we don't. They know what they are going into though, so I don't know why they are so offended when he treats them like that. And for crying out loud! How can you go on the show and not know how to make a good risotto??
Fixed. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Shame they have to censor it, loses much of it's impact. Gordon Ramsay does a great impression of me though. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

No, its a pretend restaurant where contestants try and get a job at one of his restaurants. The customers get to eat there for free. Any of them that complain are mainly trying to get on TV. I like his show Kitchen Nightmares. Not as much swearing or anger. Hate that swearing.
Don't they preselect those losers ? Or maybe they don't, on purpose, so Gordon gets to rant his lungs out.
The only time I watched it the girl used cold water to boil with since it boils faster than hot water. He was stunned. And in all the commercials he's having a fit about the risotto. I would learn to make that stuff perfectly if I was going on the show. Have you ever seen him on Kitchen Nightmares? We watch it on BBC America and he now has an American version in American restaurants.
I've never been so polite and refined in all my life as I am on this forum. Usually I'm as foul-mouthed as a drunk lindsay lohan.
