Answered? That is a good question. Surely, it hasn't all been answered. Else our world would be different (politics). But I am posting a question about psychology here. It is: has all of human behavior been centered down to the core and figured out? As in, has the human mind, if we are to call it this, been thrittled down and answered, for all and everything? Has the "human mind" been figured out; not only is it the human mind, but behavior? Has all of every single individuals behavior been figured out? As in, if I have a problem, or if I am interested in individual searching of some sort, is every answer to the way that I am or can be, perhaps, out there? Who can answer this question, and in the form of the individual????

    Sincerely,
    exista

To put it in precise, scientific terms, "Gee-golly-whiz - No."

Truthfully, we've just barely scratched the surface. Sure, we seem to know quite a bit about psycology but it's still only the begining.

    A good question?
    No.
The human mind hasn't been figured out.
In fact, the surface has barely been scratched.

The science of cognition is in its infancy.
So much so, in fact, that it is one of the few scientific fields today that is still open for philosophical input. Why is philosophy still relevant to cognition? Because so little is known that anything's possible (within reason...)

Hell. Not only is the 'human mind' not figured out, there is no adequate definition of the 'mind'. Terminology and nomenclature is still... slippery. In the extreme.

I find it interesting when I come across a thread talking about consciousness and self-awareness and trying to tell people how their questions and statements are nonsensical and/or impractical because their terms are not defined.

    Consciousness. What is that?
    Self-awareness? What?
Self? Id? Ego? Subconscious? Unconscious? Left brain? Right brain? Reptilian brain?

There is a huge paradigm shift going on right now in the field of neurology. I'm sure that you've seen neural maps. Broca's area. Wernicke's area. Exner's area. Etc... (The most common system I come across is Brodmann numbers...)
The data that led to the assumption of these organized and discrete areas within the brain which handle specific functions was gathered from study of epileptic patients (for the most part) who were about to undergo surgery to excise a portion of their cortex to lessen the effects of the seizures.
There is a problem with using damaged brains to study the effects of the brain.
Not only this, but the newest paradigm is shifting towards these areas being not discrete units rather than gateways which, when damaged, prevent the information processed by a much larger area from being utilized properly.

fMRI scanning of live, functioning brains is revolutionizing the science.

    And yet.
    We know next to nothing.

    It sure is exciting though.

I myself have what might be an interesting reply to this all.

I am going to tell you guys what I think. That may not be entirely healthy, or it may be the entire opposite. I am a mentally sick and wound up 20 year old man. To add to this terror and confusion, I may even have a problem and can't be exactly sure about this. Because of this extremeity, I have written so many notebooks, because of course, how am I? Maybe no one out there in the entire world isn't a messed up as I am, or has thought about it. Because of all this crazy mess, I have writen a lot. One of the things which I wrote about in all my 15 some odd notebook is a theme called "the penetratz." It may be the most terrible thing out there in all of what is theory, but it may have also a lot to it. The penetratz may be something of what I heard about the transcendental egoism, but yet I know nothing about what that means except for what it sounds like. Anyway, what I am saying is that the penetratz may be the opposite exact of Sartre's "everyone always has their eyes on you" or something that he says we should all ask ourself. (I stress the word ALL) Anyway, from whatever you guys get from all this, I ask you:

Even considering that I am "sick", what is the penetratz? This I still haven't answered, but can it be that people are looking into me to an extreme? And, if this could be which it could be, then, could this be one field of study for the individual? I know this scratches little, but still it could be scratching a lot.

    Anyway,
    exista
