I got a spam mail from someone called "Harvey Ballard".

    This is what it says:

    So....what the fuck?

Why do they abuse an angry myth? I've braved the sign "Gravely halt here!" ~Tut

Makes perfect sense to me. I wouldn't go any further, I hear the tomb is cursed

    Hi, Ben,

It's a spammers test. They hope you will reply with something like "what?" in order to verify your email address is a live one. (Then the real fun would begin because they get good prices for VERIFIED addresses.)

Yep, that's one of the latest twists. It looks innocent enough because it contains no links or other such and almost makes sense. Close enough to saying something that many people will fall into the "what?" or "I don't understand" trap.

Did you find that anagram yourself, or do you have a computer program?

I just took all the letters and scratched them off one by one. I don't know of any computer programs that will take that many words and anagram them into complete sentences. I dunno, I was waiting for a data transfer here at work, and I needed something to do.

    ummm... holy shit??

Scratched them off one by one? Did you start with the tut curse phrase?

Are you employed as a cryptographer? Damn...

No. I have ADD... I busy myself multitasking all the time.

And yes, I saw the words 'curse' and 'tut' right away and try to go from there adding things in to make it mostly coherent.

I am a Database Admin/SQL programmer by trade. I make my living off scanning data and prepping it for import/export or reporting.

I am a wiz at things like Boggle... and I constantly anagram stuff. It keeps my brain busy while I focus on important things. A coping mechanism if you will. I don't medicate, except for caffeine so it's just my way. I like to organize things and reorganize them even if it's only in my head.

Heh I see that you added some "L"s still kinda spooky how you ripped that off so fast.

And it wasn't fast. Took me damned near 30 minutes.
