View Full Version : Han Shot First BenTheMan 02-09-07, 11:22 PM I haven' been around for too long... Has this already been discussed? TW Scott 02-09-07, 11:24 PM One of the rereleases biggest mistakes and corrected yet again in another rerelease. I loved the fact that Han fried Greedo rather than just being the reactionary, gave him more depth. Prince_James 02-09-07, 11:29 PM Also: It was quite clear that Greedo intended to screw Han over. What did anyone expect him to do? BenTheMan 02-09-07, 11:32 PM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_shot_first For the uninitiated. BenTheMan 02-09-07, 11:48 PM You know, I'll bet dollars to donuts that when you two aren't debating about who shot first, Han or Greedo, you can still muster up enough energy to make fun of other people. Anybody? madanthonywayne 02-10-07, 02:19 AM I wasn't aware of all this. I knew they had added Jabba the hutt, but didn't know they had made Han return fire instead of shooting first. Remember the scene where Han opens a door and finds Darth Vador waiting for him? What does he do? He immediately opens fire! That's the kind of guy he is. He's a rogue, but a charming one. A man of action, like Kirk. He doesn't wait for the villian to shot first. If he knows a fight is inevitable, he takes the initiative. This allows him to survive where many others would not. This is as bad as when they turned all the guns in ET into cellphones. Prince_James 02-10-07, 08:59 AM The Special Edition was horribly done in that one scene. I had no problem with the rest, but it was just -sloppily- done on top of changing Han. |
