I think the other 23 and 1/2 hours of news broadcast can be equally comedic when not completely tragic.

i thought it was terrible. the humor and satire just felt forced to me. the rythem to me wasn't there. it didn't flow well for me. it seemed to me just try to hash the same things conservatives say about liberals without really being all that original. as comedy goes it just wasn't al that good.

I've seen it. It's supposed to be the conservative answer to "The Daily Show"... but it leaves a bit to be desired. Some funny stuff though.

Great. Another "entertainment show" that people will turn to about information for important events...

Oddly enough, it has a powerful production cast: Manny Coto (Star Trek Enterprise & 24) and Joel Surnow (24). I never knew that Coto was a conservative... especially since Trek is such a liberal franchise. Though... I have to hand to him the fact that Enterprsie, Season 4 was one of the best overall seasons of Trek, ever. It's a shame it didn't last long enough to see him totally oust Berman & Braga... something Paramount was about to do before the show was cancelled.
...I digress.
Anyhoo-- the show needs a considerable injection of talented writers or it's sunk. Though, with the likes of Coulter, Coto, Limbaugh, and Surnow all involved... plus LOTS of FOX funding, I'm sure such writers will be procured quickly.

It's the ever-increasing blurring of entertainment and legitimate information that bothers me. There are a lot of people who will watch this show and walk away from it believing they have a better understanding of the issues. And one should always be wary of satire whenever it's done for obvious political purposes...

what about bad satire like on this show?

Haven't seen it, don't really care to. In my opinion, most contemporary satire lacks both with and honesty, if not to say imagination. George Orwell or Jonathan Swift, it ain't...

Chris Morris is where tv political satire begins and ends imo.
Got any clarky cats?
I still think this show has the right idea. It just needs something. Rush and/or Coulter in the beginning are always funny/entertaining. The "news" is delivered kind of SNL Weekend Update-style. Dennis Miller is always controversial/amusing. Maybe it just needs to get its rhythm. It's the only funny conservative news show out there.
