The United States vetoed a U.N. resolution Tuesday that would have demanded Israel halt threats to expel Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat.

Eleven Security Council members voted for the resolution and three members abstained. The U.S. veto killed the resolution.

The reason ?

It doesn't contain the explicit condemnation of terrorism that we think ought to be in there

So thats why its ok for Israel to kill or expell the DEMOCRATICALLY CHOSEN president of the Palestinian Authority .
