TFTPxxx (xxx being a number) is a file that was inside my computer. Supposidly its a trojan virus or something. A standard window opened on me, with the X in gray. The X was inoperable. Couldn't be closed. Said it found this program, and to open it either pick some app. or go to such and such website. Went to Microsoft.com and it went to this site:

http://shell.windows.com/fileassoc/0409/xml/redir.asp?Ext=ŸÃĀ翽翽

Is that a real site, or some made up shit?

Then it refered me to this other site, a forum on files. Looks a bit fake. Why would the Evil Empire Microsoft refer me to this po-dunk site? Fishy.

Is this a real problem or not? If so how can I fix it? They seem to be saying get a firewall. Who knows. Help me Nerds.

From what i've read it seems to be a real vulnability, update your machine (download.miscrosoft.com and get the latest patches) update your anti-virus software, and get a firewall.

Have a look on this article :

It deals with a new worm that install and use TFTP... Maybe that it's your problem?
