I love Big Love, but I don't know how realistic it all is. Plus, the whole double-standard thing doesn't work for me. If my husband had two extra wives I would want the freedom to do who and what I want.
************* M*W: Tom Hanks is involved in its production. He's a Scientologist. I don't know about the other writers, but they've done their research.
************* M*W: In the series, I really like the parts where the wives are independent. I believe there is more of an obvious bond between the sister-wives than there actually is between them and Bill. Regardless of their religion or faith, the relationship between the women is heart warming like true sisters. I never miss it.
************* M*W: Of course it's not based on equality in reality. It's a TV series. It doesn't have to be reality.
