H bomb the sun

    If we sent a thermonuclear missile into the sun, assuming we could get it there without melting, and detonated it, could we send the sun nova? It sounds like we need to experiment...

    The 'blast' is in the interior, and 'muffled' by a blanket of hydrogen, which slowly conveys the released energy to the surface, where it radiates away to our happy smiling faces.
