Is Guantanamo just a means of keeping potential terrorists at bay? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
There is no guantanimo, that's just a myth to scare the a-rabs. Imagine, an army base in CUBA? Ridiculous!
Senator McCain believes that Habeus should not apply to anyone suspected by the US military of "terrorism" and/or "extremism" and imprisoned without trial. For those who understand the significance and importance of Habeus Corpus, McCain exhibits in this press conference a military-junta mentality, while promoting Senator Obama's respect for this fundamental of freedom.
None of you is a real-time world player. That's why all you can do is make comment after the fact. You're minor historians, not major players. There must be an appropriate government subsidy available to assuage your emotional insult.
The question really ought to be: Why the fuck should we care about these scumbag terrorists? I'd raise the suggestion that they aren't even human beings. We should feed them to the dogs and bury the bones with pigs. The UN has quite the nerve when they were in a huge bribery scandal with Saddam Hussein. The UN has blood on its hands. Oh, anid its complete apathy to all the world's problems and utter failure.
Who's to watch the watchers? You'll care about the 'scumbag terrorists' the day that a group you are a part of (the intelligentsia, perhaps) are deemed 'scumbag terrorists'. But, of course, then it'll be too late. Guantanamo is a nasty blemish on the face of our country. Regardless of the fact that it's in Cuba, we can't hide our shame.
Invert Nexus: I'm willing to take that risk to face certain existential crises. Our hands are tied. We need some form of information. Accordingly, we have to rough it out of them. We cannot let our enemy use our civilization and morality against us. I'd rather be "as bad as them" and victors than "keep the moral high ground" and lose.
Let's put them up at your place. They're innocent, misunderstood, and deserving of better accommodations. What's your address, big boy?
Mr. G: Including yourself. And you comment on the comments. Hmm... And you're a minor commentator on the minor players. Prince_James: 1. You prejudge the case. None of the "scumbag terrorists" you mention have been shown to be anything of the sort in a court of law. 2. Your attempt to dehumanise obvious human beings does nothing except show what a poor example of a human being you yourself are. 3. As invert_nexus says, you're also scarily short-sighted.
So we will discard our civilization and morality, thereby becoming safer from our enemies. If we do that, who are our friends ?
That made me chuckle, I'm sure Sami Al-Hajj agrees. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Hello. Good morning. Wake up. The US has sent home a large number of people from Guantanamo BECAUSE THEY HAD INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE or none at all that these guys were terrorists. Thats why we have trials. To weigh evidence. Thats why the Supreme Court has just said what is happening there is illegal.
The US Supreme Court disagrees with you. And fortunately you are a small player compared to them. Let us know when you have an actual argument to make.

James R.: Terrorism is war, not crime. Evil people are not really worth that much consideration. I'm an American citizen, not a foreigner caught on foreign battlefields.
Pjdude1239: Not at all. We return afterwards, drunken merry with all the blood of our enemies on our hands.
