I was just kinda curious for those that have tried both the PC version and the PS2 version, which do you prefer?
Myself, I prefer PS2!

PC....easier to go around, more advanced graphics

I had a toss up between saving up for a PS2 or purchasing it on PC.
So I got it on PC.
Okay there are small problems with my system as it just teeters on minimum specs, with a Graphics card that doesn't quite have the drivers worked out. (S3 Savage4 Pro/GT)
So my graphics are a bit glitchy, but looking at how it is on higher spec machines, it does really wipe the floor over the playstation.
The other added attractions are:
Use your own skin (I've got myself loaded as the anti-hero, you have to make it the same method as what was used in the doom and quake engines. A singular bmp which then is stretched over the polygons)
Play your own MP3 channel, yes one spare channel to which you can assign your favourite MP3 (I tested this with a 68min mix by DJ Sven Vath)
There is also the future possibilities of a MAP EDIT MOD.
(Source: A magazine) This would allow the whole GTA community to make their own MAP's, and make their own changes etc.
There is also rumour of a website address being taken up, which might house a multiplayer version. So the PC could well be the place to be.

GTA Rocks as a one player game!
I've personally played most of the versions I know about (GTA1, GTA1 w/ London, GTA2, GTA3(PS2), GTA3(PCDemo), GTA3(PC)).
So why not make it a multiplayer game?
Well, Rockstar put a lot of thought into it...and they came up with a negative response. - if I find the link, I'll post it...
The idea is great but incorporation would make a bad game (personally I don't think so, but I'm a gamer more than a programmer)
They are also coming out with a follow up to GTA3 - Vice City: http://www.rockstargames.com/vicecity/ - it should kick @$$!
For that matter, I found another rumor:

The Hot Q: Grand Theft Auto 4
...It's something I get asked about a lot (thanks for the E-mails, guys-you know who you are). Its Grand Theft Auto 4, and prepare yourselves for a whopper of a rumor, folks. Here goes" The just announced Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is just the beginning of what will become known as the GTA Universe. After Vice City, the next Grand Theft Auto game will be dubbed "Crime Online." And if you haven't guessed by now, it's going to be the console-networked title in the series. There will be a new stand alone GTA as well, but that's still a ways off..."
