    Hi,
I seek opera music that is about life in the ancient Greece by Greeks themselves or composers of other nationalities.
Preferably if it is about the Greek pantheon.

    Care to advise?

Was at the Pantheon Theater a few weeks back, would have loved to have heard anything there but nothing was on that weekend

Well sorry dude. I am simply not an opera fan. No, that's not putting it strongly enough. I positively despise the stuff. I don't mind the instrumental music, but I have to put in ear plugs when they start that weird wailing. I understand how my mother felt about rock and roll.

I have some passing familiarity with symphonic music, chamber music, etc. and I have a number of favorite composers and favorite pieces. I even know what era I like: romantic and post-romantic.

But when they start singing, I have to run out of the room.
