Three-dimensional space is easily recognized as we move freely through it. However, fourth-dimensional existence is not so easily observed.

Let us assume we have a mass oscillating in the fourth dimension, much as a mass would oscillate on a spring in the third.

    ______
    \ A
    /
    \ C
    /
    (0) B

The mass will oscillate between points A and B indefinitely as long as no outside force interferes. As the mass returns to a point, say C for example, a plane of reference is determined and “time” may be observed.

But what happens if no plane of reference is found? Let us assume you are foolishly playing near a black hole despite your parents’ warnings (shame on you) and you stumble in. Now assuming you survive and are not turned into a piece of spaghetti (your odds of survival are improbable, but possible), you will fall (for lack of a better word) simply for a moment. This is because the end of that moment technically will never arrive, although time will seem to pass “normally": for you. To your worried parents I can reassure you are perfectly safe; while the rest of us keep passing our reference points, you are in a state of “suspended time” to an outside observer. This is much like how modern science hopes to deep-freeze cancer patients and the like until they can be defrosted in the future when cures are available. Unfortunately, nobody is going to retrieve you, ever, but why should you care? You’ll live forever! … well, until the universe ends… close enough…

So then, time is the fourth dimension? Unfortunately it is not that simple. Assume you are Sammy Square of two-dimensional Flatland… to you time will be the result of a third-dimensional reference point.

One should also note the effect of gravity on time, as there is a tiny time difference between the bottom and the top of a building. In 1959, an experiment was carried out at Harvard University to measure the time-warp factor up a tower 22.5 meters high. A slowing effect of 2.57 x 10^-13 percent was detected by using extremely accurate nuclear process. Small as it may be, it confirms Einstein’s predicted value.

Thus gravity and time are without a doubt related, but how?

To understand this, you must see gravity as a wave that travels outward three-dimensionally with an amplitude in the fourth-dimension.

The concept is quite similar to two oscillating masses in a calm pool of water. If the masses are relatively close and massive, they will be attracted to each other.

On a spring, an object with more mass will create a larger period (not to be confused with the wave period), as easily observed in the equation:

    T = 2*pi*sqrt(mass / spring const)

Thus if the mass increases, more “time” (relatively speaking) will be needed to reach a reference point to define “time” (as observed by the person there).

Now, assume a pebble is dropped into a large, calm pool of water. The central point where it enters the water will oscillate, sending out waves that will decrease in amplitude (via the inverse square law in proportion to distance) as they move away form the center.

The simple result in the decrease of amplitude will decrease the distance between the crest (highest point) and the trough (lowest point), which is basically the period of oscillation (NOT the wave’s period). This will bring us to the reference point “sooner” (relatively speaking).

If you were to move with a gravity wave, which propagates at the sped of light (c), you will experience time-warp. The faster you go, the larger the time-warp. Technically, the time-warp becomes infinity when the speed of light is reached. Why? Because you are now “surfing” the gravity wave along a fourth-dimensional plane (a mathematical plane that is), which provides no reference plane.

In conclusion, gravity is the result of masses oscillating in four-dimensional space, which in turn gives a fourth-dimensional point of reference that defines “time.”

space is the 4th dimension. space and time might be the same. Can anyone do the math on this because it's beyond me.

I did some math, but it takes a while to connect everything into an clear and easy to understand format. Please wait for it

    f= G * Mm/d^2 is the formula for gravity.
F= k * Qq/d^2 is the formula for electric fields....

they clearly show... that gravity, is a static phenomena... just like electric fields.

Neither is a static phenomenon. How do you explain electric currents in circuits, such as the ones running your computer? How do you explain electromagnetic waves, like the ones you're using to read this text?

with an understanding that goes so far as to contemplate the very structure of electrons themselves... and with that design structure, we see a number of likely natural behaviors which such as proposed mass would have... the above design serves to illustrate its fittingness to explaining you basic questions.

    also...

Let's try to look at this a little differently. it is commonly accepted that energy travels as waves. At least for most forms of energy. Gravity is the only one that is assumed not to in mainstream thought, it is just instaneous... faster than the speed of light... which we know is impossible.

you forget that electric fields are the same.... t=cr.. shows that a capacity...
an electric field.... having no mass, can manifest itself across the universe instantly.... just as gravity.

although... no one has found a reasonable way to test the speed of either gravity or an electric field in formation.

Isn't it fairly common knowledge that gravity travels at the speed of light? Gravity waves will probably be discovered in the next couple of years. This is all due to relativity of course.

Mosheh - Everything is in motion always and nothing can manifest instantly across the universe. The speed of light is an upper boundary. Try researching all the wonderful things mankind has learned in the last century before attempting to come up with your own version of reality.

    CAPTAIN, YOUR FADING.....

anyway.... wrong... study electronics before you argue with me.

t=cr... is un-falible.... if the capacity is very small.... then t is very small.

and if the capcity is in the form of 1oo light years..... then the capcity in said sysetm is very small..... then... you only have two things to deal with.
resistance, and capcity.... we know the capacity is small.... very small.
then if our curcuit..... has little, if no resistance, then indeed, it can surpass light speed......

it is not a thing which is moving... it is not a particle... or photon... it is a field.
a one dimensional field of pure fundamental energy,.... and electric field.

it forms... at both ends... at the same time.

the electron is removed from one end.
and the electron is added at the other.

the hard part is connecting to two actions.

if they are connected.... then it is instantanious.

the whole point is mute, since we have no intersteller space craft....

but when we do... this truth, will be the basis of sub-space communication.

    faster than light.

PEOPLE have long serached for the fundamental particle.... when in reality that fundamental particle was discovered 200 years ago, when science really began..
with the quantitive analysis of static cling.... being electric fields.

it literally has no mass, it does not vibrate, and from all our examination it appears to be made up of lines of force... lines of one dimensional force.

there is nothing imaginable in space, which can be smaller.

I think you will find that a static electric field cannot exist without a changing magnetic field. It may not be obvious where it is but it is there. Most static fields we see come from the electron, which is not static.

Maybe it is made of photon's like Lorentz considered for awhile.

you are confusing the idea, of photons... which are dynamic, and and electric field as within a dielectric of a capacitor... which is static.... non-changing...

yes, electrons are involved, and since electrons themselves act as little magnets themselves, it is true that we will never have an electric field without its magetic component.... but in the case of a static field, the electrons dont go anywhere...
they are all bunched up and held at one side of a dielectric..... attached to the otherside.. by... an electric field of lines of force...
logic suggests.. one line per electron + positive ion pair.

the electron here O.....................................................the proton here.....O
and inbetween...... the field of force.

the static force, which when allowed too be released as by discharging the capacitor, the energy stored in the very REAL static electric field, is converted into electron motion... or positive ion motion... electrons in motion can then emit, photon radiation which indeed... has a dynamic changing cyclic nature.

NOTE: but in the wire... we have have an inductive field, which is very much like a photon... but it is found to twist to the left, where as photons twist to the right.

I haven't heard about an inductive field; inductive coupling yes; I haven't heard of a photon twisting except as in spin polarized which is real; lines of force, I think, are just a schematic way of thinking about the electric or magnetic field. The lines are not real.

    Inductive fields...

I cannot believe you don't realize that they require movement or change of some sort to exist.

Also they use area which instantly makes it two-dimensional…

Heck, it could even be more complex…

This shows a wire frame representing a rectangular prism. Assume the prism rotates along on of its long sides. Magnetic flux is generated between every plane created by at least four wires except the planes that are parallel to the field. This includes diagonally as well.

This seems like an interesting scenario. (Not that it is related to my original thread.)

inductive fields form... only when an electric field causes electron motion.
or when a magnet, causes electron pressure in a conductor, which then sets up an electric field, between opposite polarities. fun stuff.
