Is there a way to get your images index in google.
I have a shit load of images on my pages, but almost none come up with a google search.
I started renaming my pictures in a different way; for instance
human_bunny_spuriousmonkey.gif
with an alt text behind it with similar keywords, but this doesn't seem to help a bit.
Is there a secret, or is it more or less random which images google selects for its image gallery?

Have you submitted your site to Google?

google says that thye try to make the forst matches the most relevant. I find that this is often wrong.

Actually as I mentioned else where about search engines in general, Google uses a mixture of pattern matching, relevance by submittion and Popularity weight.
Popularity weight means if you swap links with people that have websites, you can gain popularity, although most of the time people will only appear on your site if they are looking for something that you have that most other sites don't.
(In fact I don't think I've had anyone come across my site via a search engine)

This is from yesterday:

I usually get at least one visitor through yahoo or google each day.
Most often used keywords:
why are elephants afraid of mice
human evolution
belly button

as you can see there have been lots of curious people on sciforums lately. That is not always the case.
