Well theres a couple of things you should know before you really do think of quitting.

Normal Moderators are really just to moderate the forums they've been assigned which means they can't do much if the problem is outside of their forums control.
So they have no ability to check your PM's to see if your claim is real. (It unfortunately has to be treated as a claim since there have been posters in the past construct conversations that never existed)

Since Moderator's do not have any control over your PM's they can't reprimand people purely for that fact, this might be the reason why the Moderator you approached feinted ignorance. It is possible for the Administration to check PM's, It's a little fiddly as it's not actually designed into the forum software so requires using other database tools to look into.

If someone has been abusing you via PM you should PM the administration, or a Super-Moderator (Super-Mods don't have power either but they can bring it to the attention of the Administration rather than just denying that there's a problem there.)

I'm hope that what's mentioned here will make you rethink at least about what to do in regards to abuse and that you won't just run away because you feel you were ignored.

As for Peta, I've not had any direct conflicts with them but I've seen how they operate in regards to their posting pattern and I can understand why some people can become aggravated by them.

As Inzomnia mentions "Use the Ignore Function", that's what it's there for and I believe it also blocks PM's. (Maybe someone could test this for me)

I've purposely neglected to mention any Female related emotional changes brought on by Female related physiological changes, as I know some people get a little frustrated that every time they feel a little pissed off with the world that it gets blamed on that.

If you are going to disappear back into the noise of the net, then you will be missed like an echo, as with echo's though over time their influence dissipates. Would you prefer to leave as a whimpering echo and allow the voices of others to drown out your reference of ever being here? or stand firm and re-analyse the situation appropiately? i am staying because there seems to be a set of rules for one group of people and then anouther for eta who is able to do and say what she wishes, when two people here (who will stya nameless) had an arguement and she was getting pm's of an abusive nature they did somthing about it, but when someone is sending abuse i have to sit and take it...no thats not me, i like it here but peta is beginning to own the place, and we obviously cant play in the same building.
