One day you are just minding your own business when, all of a sudden, God appears to you. It is unmistakably God, He gives you prove and all that. Then He tells you that He has had it with this sorry bunch that call themselves humans. He tells you that He has decided to remove heaven, and himself, from existence. Before you can even blink God goes "poof". What do you do ? For the theists: it is your God. For the atheists: it is the Christian God.
Since there never was such a thing to begin with I'd think it was a hallucination and just go on my way.
You didn't understand. You are going to have to believe the proof He gives you of Himself, it's beyond any doubt. It WAS really God.
There is no "real God" as you are trying to make everyone believe. If you want to believe in such nonsense then that's your right but do not tell anyone else they must believe in it just because you do.
Cosmic, it's besides the point.. sigh. I don't believe in God. This is in Free Thoughts, for crying out loud..
When I see that God is used I get very hesitant to jump in on the conversation because I will be taken out of context by those whop will use my levity against me. Sorry, not for me, perhaps others will join in on the thread as you wish.
Hmm ok. How could they possibly use it against you ? It's a highly hypothetical question asked by an atheist.
Given that god is generally accepted as being the foundation upon which reality rests, its kind of absurd to discuss the nature of it in his absence. Kind of like discussing reality if reality was removed from it (given that fantasy is a reflection of reality, you wouldn't even have that). Again, small wonder that atheists feel comfortable discussing a god that can be removed from reality while they (somehow) remain to ponder its nature. Haha Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Lucifer supposedly still remains, as does hell. And with heaven gone you know where you'll end up.
Oh, I thought he merely created the universe. Why wouldn't the universe be viable if God were to disappear ?
