those members who are of a certain age (mid to late 20s):

It was a glorious time, a happier time, a simpler time (Thatcherism/Reaganism not withstanding).
so people come take a little journey along 80's TV memory lane with me.........

1) Miami Vice. What can I say? Gloriously over the top (and that was just Crockett's wardrobe)...just sublime.

2)The A-team. It didn't matter that the entire US military couln't find these guys, but poor old joe Schmuck who was getting shafted by some goon easily found Hannibal and the gang, and also didn't matter that the guys would always be conviently heald captive in a fully equiped workshop, complete with power tools and an old truck that BA could convert into an amoured tank, or that no matter how many rounds of ammo the guys pumped into the baddies, or no matter how many bombs they used to blow their trucks up , the bad guys never got killed.

3) Airwolf.

4) Hardcastle and Macormick.

5) Streethawk.

6) Magnum Pi.

7) Moonlighting.

8) Knightrider.

9) LA Law.

and the best saved till last, Dallas ;)

good wasn't it? Kept under the shadow of Knightrider and Airwolf, I found it much better than KR. Lovely little series.

Yup, totally. Fantastic little show that i never heard about again. BTW anybody remember that show with Hulk Hogan in it. He rode around on a super boat fighting supernatural crime.....it was a pathetic little show. He had a whole team to fight crime alongside with him.

no thank God I never came accross that show. Sounds awful. Anything wth steroid inflated meetheads is awful. I hate these simian grunts who get their own movies/TV series, and I despise wrestling. In my opinion if you admit to watching/liking wrestling then you cannot expect anyone to take you seriously.

nico:

my friend you have immpecable taste in music (I was going to leave 80s music for another thread);)

3) U got the look, Prince God this guy was/is a genius, I mean the volume and quality of work he produced.

4) Let's dance, David Bowie Genius. Over 30 years in the business, rampant drug abuse (he actually cannot remember the 70s!!!) and this guy looks better now than he did back then. This track is probably my all time favourite Bowie track, it still gives me goosebumps when I hear it. Class.

8) Obession , animotion The fashion TV theme, fantastic.

10) Billy Idol! Have you heard The murder dolls cover of "white wedding"?

and off course who can forget Madonna in the 80s?:)

sarg the movie you were referring to was "Thunder in Paradise" and boy was it BAD. I mean any movie you can name had better acting and a better plot than this one.

:o ohh shucks! I know.

Prince:My other fav. Prince songs are of course, When Doves cry, Rasberry Barret.

David Bowie: Ohh this man is a master of Rock and Roll, he is like a modern Mozart. Fashion, China Girl, and Ashes to Ashes are pretty good.

The fashion TV theme, fantastic: You guys get Fashion Televsion? LOL

Have you heard The murder dolls cover of "white wedding"?
