Would this fit for an example of Gestalt Therapy?

A youth is currently involved in gang related activity and does not know any other way of life. As per my approach of the Gestalt therapy would be. "This is where you are (A) this is where you should be (B). In order to get from A to B we must show them how to get there.

Does this make sense? Is this a good example of Gestalt Therapy? If not, can someone give me a better example?

Thanks,

Andrew

Gestalt therapy generally had the client take on the role of various things inside him or herself. If they dreamt of someone or even something they would then role play that person or thing often finding messages and rather strong emotions there.
Gestalt therapy with a gang member would not go directly at the issue, most likely. Working from dreams, incidents in real life the youth would be encouraged to role play a member from another gang, their girlfriend, their knife, who knows. Gestalt therapy allowed the part of the person that they denied to arise naturally from the client. The therapist does not come with an agenda, how can we get this guy out of gangs.
