Question: Why isn't he put in a mental institution? Praying for rain is a safe bet, since sooner or later, it's going to rain. Is this a substitute for sound water policies?

He needs to pray for the worlds children. Since most of them are living in poverty. What a selfish fucking wish. Oh god please rain for me, fuck all the others who're suffering from massive food shortages due to extreme droughts.

C'mon, all they need to do is a rain dance.

Oy-veh! Why not just do a rain dance and have on with it. Congress leads with a prayer at the beginning of each session, it hasn't done jack to fix its problems. What makes these foolios think that God is gonna deliver Georgia from draught (which, really, threatens no one's lives at all) before, say, saving the millions of Christian and non-Christan children around the world who die from draught (and AIDS, and war, and rape, and murder, and any other malady that afflicts mankind).

They kicked out the rain dance experts long ago - sent them to Oklahoma, on foot, kind of a warmup for the Bataan Death March - so now they have to make do with the best they've got: prayers to the God of the Sinai Desert.

Yeah it did. I was afraid this would happen, now the Christians are acting like God came down himself and handed out water-bottles, even though it was only a slight amount of rain, and definitely not enough to ease the water shortage.

Yeah, they say the rain is a gift from God. Wonder who the drought was from.

The Cherokees lived in Tennessee, not Georgia.

They prayed for rain and guess what it did in Georgia last night. IT RAINED!

I think it was Gustav. He was seen down in the Atlanta area dancing around while all painted and wearing feathers.

The Cherokees did live in Georgia. And yes, it did rain down there. But the Gov. has a penchant for holding these events (this week's prayer was NOT the first) and he always does so when the forecast is favorable.
