It will soon be possble for all of us to have access to our Genome. What are the ethical issues here? Would you want to know that you are a time-bomb waiting to go off?

i dont care. i wouldnt seek the knowledge out, but i wouldnt freak if someone told me.

If I could prevent a disease, then yes, I'd want to know. For example, if I had a very high risk of developing bowel cancer, I'd like to know, so that I could undergo a bowel resection. This way, I've avoided the bowel cancer.

However, if I am destined to suffer from a disease which is not preventable, then no, I would NOT want to know. What's the point?
