Generate a map

    I would like to generate a world map on which I could put all the known places (stored in a database for exemple). That's the kind of map that could be used to show (in "real time") from which cities are the SciForums members (that's not my aim!). You could click on these points to have more details. I would like to put it on a website so it needs to be avaible for Internet (html, javascript, flash...).

    Do you know a tool that would do that?

    Edit : I saw an example on the "Underworld" website (Enter the Underworld/sighting).

    You could do it in java using jdbc. I don't know of any tool that would do it though.
