I guess it would be reasonable to call some of you out there, 'geeks'.

What I would like to know is, what do geeks look like? Spotty with glasses, no dress sense and no friends with cone shaped heads (classic stereotype)? Or completely different?

Are YOU a geek? So what do you look like?

BTW I'm NOT a geek, I wouldn't know the difference between a KiloByte and a kilo of plums

I'm a geek blessed with good looks. I don't have thick glasses, wear suspenders and shiney shoes and have bad acne.
But isn't that a streotype of a nerd and not a geek. They are tow very different things

I wear what I want, now it's freezing here I wear like 3 sweaters and a t-shirt, but I don't look like those guys in Revenge of the Nerds

I don't have a big selection of friends but that doesn't matter. We are so tightly packed we'd do anything for each other. I'd hate to know a large group of people and call them 'friends'. I'd rather have a small group of good friends. And that's what I have

I haven't even seen anyone that even fits into the stereotyped look of nerds or geeks, not once. I don't think it's a valid observation

Geekiness is a state of mind.

And being is a state of... never mind.

Anyway, I guess I could be considered a geek becasue I do good in school and do not have many friends, but I don't even come close to

    Is intelligence that intimidating?

Doing well in School rely has little barring on intelligence... Just how well you follow orders.

I think you know that your a geek when you spend more then 10 hours infront of a computer and then rush home after work/school just to check your email because youve been away from it for more then 20 minutes... I couldn't stand that.

I just got my new classes today, ugh. I have no computer classes on monday's and wensday's. Ive got Design Essentials and Trig, no computers, Im going nuts the whole time because I want to check my email. So yes I am a geek, oh and BTW

    Hair: Brown.
    Eyes: Blue Gray
    Thin
    Glasses? Yep.

I think I fit the geek stereotype well.... You can see my picture in the Picture Thread.

I woke up - I turned on my computer. I've had it on ever since, and it likely won't be turned off until I go to bed.

And yes, I'm checking e-mail and forums at least once every hour.

Me? 6'2". Buffed up all over. Play football. Play flute. Occasionally beat people up. Crazy about science. People are threatened by the fact that I am a jock with a lot more than average IQ and academic drive.

    Your standard stereotype there?

You can be smart as hell and ignorant as fuck. IQ is subjective and acedemic drive is subjective as well. Academic drive can sometimes be little more then following orders.

If I where to stereotype I would say you sound like a prime Candidate for the Armed Forces. But that would be only a quick generalization form a limited amount of information.
