Try a wired or popular science magazine, they are just jam packed with geek toys. I been reading Nature and SA and making DNA cubes is apparently all the rage these days. :rolleyes:

For free you could search the internet or watch James Bond movies on TV.

umm... dissasembling and giving more power to my BBgun it prety fun

a BB gun that runs on propane instead of air would be a cool little killing gadget.

Forget the BB gun and modify the thing into a flame thrower!

you will need:
-one PVC/steel tube at least 1m long
-one barbeque lighter
-one metal/hard plastic plate at least 5mm thick
-something that explodes

assembly:
1) get the tube and attach the plate to one end(weld a metal one or glue a plastic one)

2) drill a small hole near the end at which the plate is attached and insert barbeque lightter end, then seal with glue/solder

3) get a file and file the open end of the tube on the outside so that it it sharp

4) hold tube with plate end on ground and fill with propellant(petrol/meths/gas cooker refill) the get a potato and force in so that it gets cut by the barrel and fits perfectly

5) with the plate end firmly lodged on the ground or against a wall; take aim and use the lighter(lighter must be permanently atrtached or it will fall out and you get burned!)

WARNING: WHEN DONE PROPERLY THIS CAN SHOOT THROUGH A ROAD SIGN SO DONT SHOOT YOUR FRINDS WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

i should also warn that you have to start out with just a little propellant and go from there otherwise you can have a nasty explosion on your hands
