So I was looking around on the web, doing some catching up on the status of Fusion Power reasearch, when I came upon this:http://www.popsci.com/popsci/science/873aae7bf86c0110vgnvcm1000004eecbccdrcrd.html Despite being very ineresting, it seemed believable. I'm not a professional physicist so does anyone have any thoughts on the efficency or how promising this looks?
It has been used since the '80's. U.S uses garbage but France is (or was, not sdure about now) a pioneer in the use of precipitators\scrubbers etc.

The biggest drawback is the rusultant "flyash" but it is worth figuring out how best to deal with it.

Maybe I missed it in the article but did anyone catch what the syngas is made up of? and what do you think would be the negative impacts of that "obsidian-like" glass that comes out. It is Soluble in water so would it have to be stored in sealed containers to prevent heavy metal exposure?
