GameSpy Arcade problem. Plz help!

Hi,

I have WinXP Pro edition. Pentium 3 600, 384Mb, 40Gb, GeF2MX400, SBLive!Value...

When I had Win98 (same hardware) my GameSpy Arcade worked perfectly. Since I got WinXP it doesn't even start up. It says mapping service or smtng and just hangs up. I tried reinstalling it plenty of times. I tried several different versions and nothing worx.

On gamespy arcade site it says firewall might cause some problems, but I don’t have any other than WinXP default firewall. I even upgraded to SP1 and still it dn/w. I haven’t reinstalled win yet though. It might help, but since its a pain to format and reinstall I’m trying to avoid that alternative.

I'll sure be glad if any of you could help me if you know what’s wrong with my sis.

p.s. WinXP sux is NOT helping. I work in 3DS Max and non NT Win d/n work 4 me. I play a lot too, so Win2000 is not the answer either.
