Models Will Be Introduced Over The Next Four Years

When bio-diesel become more common, we can tell the arabs to go to hell.

The Union of Concerned Scientists, a fuel economy advocacy group, said in a report last week that while a hybrid could cost $4,000 more than a conventional vehicle, drivers could save nearly $5,500 in gasoline expenses over the vehicle's driving life.

Now that's cool. But I saw a different one, it was on tech TV ... the only exhaust is water, it uses no gas. It was on Tech TV.

You mean GM's "AUTOnomy" concept. Ya that’s cool it will also decrease car prices by a large percentage because one factory can make the chassis for them all… hehe “One [car] to rule them all”!

The future is Flexible Fuel Vehicles, able to burn either gasoline or ethanol, or any combination of the two fuels. Gasoline is a fossil fuel, and ethanol is a renewable biomass-derived fuel. The limited availability of ethanol (at least compared to the number of cars) means that increased fuel efficiency will facilitate its wider use. That means hybrid cars equipped for flexible fuelling....

Check the links on my Starship Generations website under the heading Renewable Energy Transportation:

Ethanol and methanol are not efficient enough. When we run out of oil the price of a new renewable fuel like Ethanol, methanol and H2 will cost much more then mined gasoline. This means that cars of the future will need to be much more efficient. H2 is the only fuel that can offer x2 to x3 the efficiency over Gasoline. Ethanol and methanol even with Hybrid and fuel cell system will not be able to do better then 70mpg will H2 Fuel cell will be able to do over 100mpg easily. The only problem is how to store enough H2 for a 300+mile range.

I like biodiesel because it smells good. It smells sort of like in between burning banana peel and popcorn.

Well that's the problem with hydrogen: there is no way to store such a low-density gas effectively in automobiles in a manner that can be implemented widely. Cars require a liquid fuel, and that means the hydrogen has to be chemically bound to carbon to form hydrocarbons (gasoline or ethanol). Ethanol and biodiesel are the only two liquid fuels that are renewable, and take less energy to produce than is stored in the fuel.

Wow that’s great but those fuel tanks are 5,000psi filled with pure hydrogen! That’s like having a pack of very large bombs strapped under you cars frame!

...But it is still a great move! Full cell will be totally ready before this decade is out... the problem is will we be willing to convert? Also Hydrogen can’t be burn by normal ICE only turbines or possible quisturbine engines can burn hydrogen without back firing. Turbines engines suck for cars and quistrubine was invented by a French Canadian and no one likes that!

No, I'm not saying the tanks aren't 5000 psi -- I'm saying your analogy to strapping very large bombs to your car is not apt.

what does "- Warren" mean anyways?

Yes bombs are a exaggerations, but those pyrotechnics in the movies are not.
Ok remember in all those action movies when you shoot a car it burst explosively into flames? Now that will actually be possible!

You could not be farther from true, hydrogen tanks are actually more SAFER then gasoline ones :

I already went over this: I advice solid storage because its SAFIST. Also would take up much less space, weight and be cheaper to use then very high pressure tanks. Look up “borax” and “carbon nanofiber hydrogen storage on the net.”
