As devices are built on the atomic scale, is there no way to extract useful energy from all the air molecules whizzing around? These air molecules contain a certain amount of kinetic energy. If we use this energy to power our nanotech devices do we violate the second law of thermodynamics?

What the heck is Nanotech?
Nanotech: a common term for itny machines on the scale of a few nanometres. Most tiny little toys in this field currently being developed are actually on the micro scale, but tend to be called nanotech anyway.
Possibly the best way to keep up to date on what's happening in this field: http://itri.loyola.edu/nanobase/
