This series is soon to close with only two chapters remaining. I’ll likely not go beyond Romans on this site. I hope these have been of value to everyone. My server should not be long off yet. Perhaps I will see some of you there.

I’d like to start with the last words first,… “for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” The long and short of this chapter is geared towards how we engage anything we do. It is not about judging, meat, or wine. It’s not making provision for any activity. These are simply examples given by Paul. The basis is that what we do we need to do in the right perspective of the Lord. Even so, we need to be sure that we do not offset the proper perspective of another by our deeds. More than that still, our deeds need to be edifying and helpful. There’s not a ton to say on this chapter. Either you see this as a chapter that excuses your own sinful actions (which is contradictory to the rest of the Bible ), or you see this as a chapter that condemns all judgement (which is contradictory to the rest of the Bible ), or you see this as you ought to see it. You see this as a focusing tool. “for whatsoever is not of faith is sin”,… we are either for God or against God. There is no middle ground. A heart that is right with God is a heart that does not sin against anyone. It is a heart that allows God to bring the judgement. It is a heart that is too busy sharing God’s Love.

I’ve said little and much all at the same time this week. I know that personally, I can find my own wrongs here too. I pray that we would all hold on to little of our own pasts and much of God’s future for us. AMEN!
