Romans 8:38-39
NLT

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I am comforted by the thought of God's love for us all. His love for us is a love that exists in spite of all of our own faults and sins. God chooses to love us and, so much, even, that He makes a way for, even the worst of us, to be counted as righteous. This is a powerful love that knows no end. As we can see from the scripture text, not even our deaths can bring an end to His love for us. What can be better than that?

This Christmas, my family can no longer celebrate with my mother. Yet, we've not been cheated. We have the knowledge that God has not separated His Love from my mother. She, like the thief on the cross beside Jesus, is with God today.

As the days draw nearer to Christmas, I'd just like to remind you to live like you know that God Loves you and will continue to forever. Just as He provides for the little birds, He'll provide for you too. Trust in Christ.

God Bless You All & Merry Christmas,

ISDAMan- Thank you for resolving the legal issues we discussed regarding this thread. Pulling down your posts had been one of the most difficult personal decisions to make.

I am sorry that you can't celebrate this Christmas with your mother. My first Chirstmas without mine was extremely difficult. Rest assured that if there is any way for her spirit to be there, then her spirit will be there. When we celebrated that first tragic Christmas in 1997, we decided that since we couldn't celebrate it with her, we would celebrate it for her. A good time was had by all, and we laughed as we enjoyed the memories that she helped make. My father still grieves, but he will be with her someday, and from that he draws strength. She was cremated, as we had no money for a funeral, but her virtual grave site is at www.findagrave.com. Look for Geraldine Lorene Chacon.

My condolences, and best wishes, to you and yours.
