Hi there, my first post here.
Me and my mates are sitting around and trying to figure out a little problem....

How high off the ground would one have to release 90kgs for it to reach a speed of 30km/h?

Thank you.

v2= u2+2.a.s

It doesn't matter what the weight is.

So you're looking for 30 kph? = 8 (near enough) metres/ sec
64 = 2.10 (round g).s

3.2 metres.

Thanks very much.

Better figure in aerodynamic drag also, if the minimum speed is critical to impact fusing or something. Safety First! And welcome to sciforums: Teeming with Genii.
