Is there any sort of software that can rip stuff from CD's?

I'm planning to just extract the songs I like and then reburn them. I already got burning software.

Windows media player and real one player can do it for you.

www.download.com has many such free softwares or free trial softwares.

the best extraction software imho is exact audio copy, together with the lame codec.

Supports variable bitrates and jitter removal.

I have used cdex but got away from it. I and several other people have reported problems with cdex dropping out the sound drivers for your computer. I would recommend that if you use cdex that you do not play the songs in cdex. It can be rough getting those drivers relinked correctly, as part of windows thinks it is there and the other part thinks it is not there.

Thank you for th ewarning. I've never had that problem, but I've never used the CDex player either. I always use Winamp.

Did you have this problem with version 1.5?

I've always used CDEX. Although upon getting linux, I've found 'GRIP' to be very useful.
