I'll summarise. I didn't read the whole thing but the gist of it as far as I could see was this: she thinks heroin should remain illegal because it's bad and because heroin users are worthless scum (even the Dutch ones).

Whereas I think it should be legalised because heroin users are worthless scum (even the Dutch ones.)

However, the dealers are much, much worse.

Why, a whole thread of course. A whole night trying to romance a plot to life
somehow ended in a bitter craving to pick fights with old men crying to legalize drugs.
Why? Don't know.

I didn't read the whole thing

I thought that is what this thread was for. I remember reading Fraggle's post about drugs and I sensed you disagreed. Am I correct?

More like placenta.

Bingo.

You see, Fraggle has this idea that if we were to allow Jerome the crack- smoking hoodrat easier access to blow and, let us say, prostitutes, that his latent skills currently oppressed by your government would flourish.

You know, kinda like legalizing pedophilia in the hopes that one's uncle Stevo would no longer crave children.

Sevvi?

Well. Fraggle's a die-hard liberal and I think that he does have beliefs as you've just outlined, but the point in that other thread was directed more towards the fact that the violence is committed in greater amounts by the dealers rather than the users.

Red Army has made the same point above.

Hell, Gendanken, you've never even used a drug in your life, have you? And pharmaceuticals and alcohol don't count.

You do have a point as I said in the other thread, but you're missing the big picture.

Not that I think that legalizing drugs would solve the violence problem in the inner cities. It would just shift focus. Always something else for the black market to focus on, isn't there?

Just that the dealers and their thugs are a larger part of the problem than the users themselves. The dealers enforce, the junkies exist within the system created by the dealers.
