View Full Version : Fox News Reporters get owned by Preacher (ambush journalism) Ganymede 04-18-08, 11:22 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0wvQMqSzTM&eurl=http://bravenewfilms.org/blog/35838-fox-reporter-squashed-by-wise-father-s-words-on-wright spidergoat 04-18-08, 12:33 PM Damn right. Very intelligent response on the part of this preacher. otheadp 04-18-08, 02:50 PM Fox sent an intimidated green kid to interview a guy who talks for a living, who has his talking points memorized, and who has a bunch of scary bodyguards next to him. Some of the points he made were good -in principle- but much of it was just slick talkin' by a slick man who himself has been controvercial in the past. (I'm too lazy to look for the links, but if you google his name you'll see.) and though correct in principle, do not necessarily apply to Rev. Wrong. Example: Q: "do you believe it's right to say the US government injected blacks with AIDS to kill them?" A: "I never heard the whole interview so I'm not gonna comment" -- slick... and then even slicker: "but is it wrong to talk about the problems of poor Americans?" -- of course it's not wrong but that's not what the question was, was it? Another example: Q: "Many people think rev.Wright has made some unpatriotic statements" A: "It's very patriotic to criticize and challenge your country" -- (1) some may disagree, (2) in general you may be right, but we're talking about the specific comments, not the general rule. SLICK. Another response: "He can't be unpatriotic because he was a Marine" -- OK but so was Timothy McVeigh... I saw one black man, but I guess they're all scary and intimidating to you, huh? countezero 04-18-08, 04:03 PM I agree it was slickness, pure and simple. In what context is accusing the US of creating AIDS to injure a race sane or acceptable? otheadp 04-18-08, 04:08 PM I saw one black man, but I guess they're all scary and intimidating to you, huh? Very. nirakar 04-18-08, 04:22 PM I agree it was slickness, pure and simple. In what context is accusing the US of creating AIDS to injure a race sane or acceptable? This idea is widespread both inside and outside the USA. It is a stupid idea, but not as stupid an idea the hurricane Katrina was gods punishment for America being too homosexual and too liberal. This idea is also widespread in the USA. The supposedly liberal media doesn't go after conservatives for the stupid things their ministers say. Mr.Spock 04-18-08, 04:30 PM when white people criticize America their critical and when black people criticize America their hateful? what a load of crap, that is what you call owned? lame. pjdude1219 04-18-08, 04:53 PM when white people criticize America their critical and when black people criticize America their hateful? what a load of crap, that is what you call owned? lame. welcome to america the land of bullshit Mr.Spock 04-18-08, 04:54 PM welcome to america the land of bullshit its not the land of bullshit. Ganymede 04-18-08, 07:43 PM I saw one black man, but I guess they're all scary and intimidating to you, huh? :roflmao: Cazzo 04-18-08, 07:44 PM The supposedly liberal media doesn't go after conservatives for the stupid things their ministers say. Did you ever consider the possibility that you could do both at the same time?:) DeepThought 04-20-08, 05:58 PM Example: Q: "do you believe it's right to say the US government injected blacks with AIDS to kill them?" A: "I never heard the whole interview so I'm not gonna comment" . One thing I've learned from studying history, Christian preachers are good liars. pjdude1219 04-20-08, 06:16 PM Did you ever consider the possibility that you could do both at the same time?:) yes and was found not to be the way i could best better my country. i came to the conclusion that proposing and supporting the ideas a nonreligious well funded education system, universal health care, a progressive tax system, civil rights for all, and a balanced political system based on talking about the issues was the best way i could better my country. Leaving would only reduce the influence people like me would have which in my opinion would make this country worse not better. |
