Being a former pot head I have experienced most of the listed symptons above, however,withdrawal is harder. If I'm not being chased down the dark alley by two blunts I often fill like rollin up the couch, anyways, if you have tips to help former struggling addicts post them. With marijuana you may learn ways to deal with your stress. Ei: Being open and accepting of circumstance. Stress is a product of ego. It is not usually wise to relly on marijuana for all stress relief because then it will be come stress itself.

My parents are literature professors. They make a good living.
I plan to be a professor as well. Is that escapism?
We live in books; we teach others how to live in them.
And we get handsome salaries, medical benefits, etc...
and enough left over to travel. So our whole lives are escapist.

Not a pothead...nor have been one. I've been known to indulge though. As to the poll, i've done some of those things...Smoked with strangers, some paranoia etc..

Why do i use? It's fun, for one thing. Second, to relieve some stress from the mundaneness of life, third it's great for inspiration/imagination (but i dont NEED it for inspiration, but it does help).

Never felt the need to touch anything else..

I tried to quit smoking green not too long ago. I didnt quit though but I smoked less than I use too. I use to smoke a blunt almost every hour. Anyway whenever I was cutting down , the day before I actually smoked some weed I dreamt of smoking it the night before .... heh it happend a couple times. I dont dream of smoking green no more probably cuz I smoke a lot again.
I dont smoke to relieve stress or anything to tell you the truth... I dont even know why I smoke it I just do. I can't stand smoking by myself tho, I'd rather get high with someone else cuz its more fun =). Its like every person I meet smokes weed which is a lot of people. I still remember the very first time I smoked some was in ninth grade while waiting for the bus me and some friends stuffed a black and mild cuz back then I didnt know how to roll blunts. Anyway after it was done we were walking to the bus and it was like I was walking on a tread meal. I was moving to the bus I can tell cuz it was getting bigger as I got close but everyone else around me wasnt.... heh. I then got on the bus and started laughin cuz peoples heads where fruits all differ types. So we got to school right and we went to the cafeteria to get some breakfast and it seemed like everyone was lookin at us and knew we were high which got me paranoid. So I sat down at a table eating my food and my friend comes up to me and was sniffing the air around us and he had a grin with a twinkle in his eye heh. He was like you fuct up aint ya, all i did was nod. He was like come with me so, we went to the baseball field in the dug out and he reaches in his pocket and pulls out some blunts. And we started cheafin. After it was all done I went to my first class which is gym and he was in my class too along with the other friends I smoked at the bus stop with , which I'm glad cuz it made me feel comfortable knowing they were fuct up too. But as the day went on the that was the last thing I remember doing in school was going to first period. The rest of the day was blank. So next day at school I was telling them I didnt remember the previous day. They started laughing and said that I was running around the school with my head in my shirt making animal noises.... LOL. I didnt know what to believe at all but thats what they said. Anyway we ran into the guy that sold the green and he was laughin too he said that shit was good wasnt it? I was like yea and he said you know that stuff was laced right? I asked laced with what and he started laughin again and told me it was laced with some coke so we actually smoked a primo.
I've smoked plenty primo's time and again and nothing compared to the first time I smoked it.
My high I notice changed in time also. I use to be a happy laughing person at first then gradually it calmed down till now where when I get high I act the same as if I'm not but just feel better.
Anyone ever got fuct up and your nose couldnt stop running heh. That happend to me once too. I remember it was in 10th grade I was getting back from off campus lunch and I smoked a tiny weeny little bit of green that I stuffed in a 3rd of a black and mild. I was in my 3rd period class chillin and we were taking a test and everyone was soooo quiet which made the runny nose sniffling seem even more louder heh. I look over to my left and I see my friend laughin heh and he was rappin, which he does a lot when hes high. I look at him and I started laughin too cuz I knew he was high, he didnt even take his test heh he passed it to the teacher soon as he got it. Anyway I got up to go to the bathroom cuz this nose wouldnt stop. I asked the teach if i can use the bathroom and he told me to get my pass which I didnt have so I told him I'll get it cuz my locker is right outside the door. He was like ok. So I went to my locker and I was tryin to get my combo in but I couldnt cuz everything was getting blurry, so I was like fuk it I'll just go. So i go up the stairs but I couldnt stand.... so I look around to make sure no one was coming and I got down on my hands and knees and crawled my way up the stairs heh. I get up to the right floor and I see some teachers coming so I went to a locker that was low since i was still on the floor and acted like it was my locker. After they passed I got up and went to the bathroom. AAAANNND daaaaamn i took a mad ass shit! After I was done doing what I had to do, to my surprise my nose wasnt running I can see clearly and my HIGH WAS GONE heh.
I have plenty of get high stories but i'll stop here.

I went through a pot phase about two years ago, it didn't affect my lifestyle in any way. But then again I've always been lazy and disorganized so there probably wasn't much it could have changed.

Whenever I'm high and put my attention to something thats needed I seem to stay focus and do better at it

Just some advice so you do not end up checking everything on the poll... Smoke pot as much as you want, but do NOT do crack, cocaine, or heroin. I've seen people cheat death with that crap. Do shrooms, salvia, and try acid atleast once, but do NOT fuck around with the before mentioned.

I found Ecstasy to be an EXTREMELY philosophical drug. It shows you heaven in your mind, perfection. You must see the philosophical implactions of this. I can't put in to words the things Ecstasy did for me. But you also have to see that it is a powerful drug and will turn on you the second you let it.

I remember I smoked this one girl out and after we was done she turned pale heh. She was stuck couldnt move , just laying her head on the table. She was freaking me out , I told her to go put some water on her face and she threw up all over the place...
I couldnt walk with her tho cuz she couldnt even walk straight and she was gettin me paranoid cuz many cops where around, since it was holloween so the other girl had to walk her home.

I think they use the drug busts and the people that they bust for just having there own personals as a way of gettin money.
They get hella lotta money from weed busts, and plus they take your weed only to sell it back on the streets only to be taken again along with more money for the same amount of weed they took from us.
And look at all the court costs of the people with minor misdameanors to the felonies. Going to court costs money too. So the gov gets all the court money for it plus the drug money plus the weed only to be recycled back to the streets to gain more money....

Don't ever order the "legal weed" from those colourful ads in the High Times. I tried it once and ditch weed gives you more of a buzz.

I get a sense of calmness with smoking, that tends to stay with me for a few days afterwards. Munchies definitely -- it helps increase my appetite, and when i've been feeling depressed and haven't felt like eating much, it's helped in that regard. It's also often helped my dream recall, because i tend to wake up slower when i've been high, due to being in a deeper more relaxed state, and it's like it's easier for me to bring the dream memories back with me. Smoking with strangers was nice sometimes when i used to do that years ago -- gives you something in common to talk about and do.

I've done alcohol, tobacco, bud, acid 7 or 8 times, bud laced with coke a few times (or at least that's what i think it was in retrospect -- at the time i was told it was laced with acid), ecstasy twice, and shrooms twice. My favorites all things considered are bud and alcohol. Anymore i'm all-natural and don't care for using man-made chemicals like acid and ecstasy.
