Dave-This guy with all the a's in his name is wasting space. I'd confront him directly, but if you read his posts you'd know exactly where that would get me. I am asking that this person be executed...uh...dealt with. I am glad to say that nobody seems to be taking his bait, but he is getting annoying and I believe is in violation of one of the rules, the one that tells us not to post simple "Me too!" messages.

There may be people we find annoying, but this person is disruptive to the flow of any discusion. IF he / she doesn't want to contribute they shouldn't be here. Also This person is going to threads that are extreamly old and posting this crap. which leaves not knowing which ones have anything new in them worth reading.

aaaaa.... has been temporarily banned. I say 'temporarily', since I'm off in the boonies with an internet connection that makes a 28.8 modem look great (in fact, it took me 2 minutes just to load this one message). At some point I will return to civilization and sort this out properly (if anything is unsettled).

However, this is an excellent example of why we should have member moderators for some forums. Any volunteers???

I'll take up a job for moderator.

What's the job description? I'd be happy to do it if I can interface it with my analog life.

Moderators get the same access rights over the forums as I have (ie. they can edit/delete messages). One part of the job is to delete/move off-topic posts. The other part (the main part) of the job is to stimulate and direct discussion.

So, if you are interested in the power and respect that come with moderation, email me or post a message here mentioning which forum you'd be interested in taking control of. Preferably, you will have a reasonable posting history in that forum(s).

Dave-I'll take one of the following if they're open (in order of preference):
1.Religious Debate (Sure, I'm an atheist, but I believe I have shown enough respect for other beliefs to fairly moderate this forum.)
2. UFOs/Paranormal (I've seen plenty of paranormal stuff in my life to tend this forum.)
3. Aliens/Extraterrestrials (Because the arguments here get off-topic reallllllllly fast.)
