I found this entertaining. There is a very good mental health website called Mental Earth - www.mentalearth.com. They have banned me because I am too disruptive to their community. Score another one for the ham-man! Whoohoo!

I went into the chat area, started a private room called hamtasticchat and labeled it with a warning that triggering issues could be discussed. Then, I was just me. I didn't call anyone a fucktard or cunt or threaten to rape them. I did this:<lick>. Apparently this was violating to abuse survivors, and then I failed to show appropriate sensitivity and remorse for my actions. I told the site administrator that it was hard for the candleflame to feel guilty for the moths that get immolated in its presence. Damn me to hell, I guess!

Stories like that make me appreciate the mods here.

Googling mental health community turns up a fascinating number of neglected/dead forums about people with mental illness. If anyone knows of any live boards, drop me a line, ok?

I was banned from there too. Interestingly enough, I did much much less. Actually, it was me who was being blatantly insulted by the other members, and admin did nothing to stop them.

Just curious, I was given no warning nor reason as to why I was banned. I just get a 500 error, and my display name is gray instead of black. So was I actually banned, or what?

If it is about mentally sick people maybe most of them are sick themselves .
Someone who is not sick does not understand what other sick people are going through .

I created a thread when first joining this site which regarded or related to this in that it was meant specifically for the investigation of claims regarding mental health from a strictly theoristical approach. I believe what it regards is instead of approaching mental health from a purely naturalistic perspective, that also- it is possible to approach mental well being and health from a form of theoritical understanding or perspective.

Albeit the thread has not recieved much attention it has gained an understanding I feel.

If you still have an account at MentalEarth, can you do me a huge favor and see if I've been banned? My display name is Myers on there. I asked the admin, and they've ignored me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Mr. Hamtastic was referring to the number of mental health forums that weren't able to stay online for one reason or another, and have been abandoned.

Yeah, that's great. Another member calls me a pathetic excuse for a human being, and I'm the one who gets banned... Makes tons of sense...
