Why would people who never spoke much or hung out with you in school suddenly start chatting/flirting with you on facebook?

Its quite bizarre really, I don't even recall what some of them looked like back when they were 14 and I certainly don't remember being such pals with others and yet I receive email from people I haven't seen for 25 years who want to tell me how <insert embarrassing comments>

What could possibly motivate such bizarre behaviour? I'm quite nonplussed how I should respond

That really does sound ..'odd'. Maybe facebook detaches them from "reality"..?

I find it really bizarre, I have "chatted" more with some people in the last six months than I did in ten years of schooling

Thats exactly what I need. More stalkers.

It could be that it's easier for some to communicate when they don't see the other's face. Some may feel that it's easier to express thoughts via keyboard than via mouth.

On the other hand it could be a pure 'nostalgic' feeling.

It's easier to say things online than face to face. You should respond that you appreciate the sentiment, but aren't interested in flirting with people....or more specifically - not interested in THEM.

    1. You have changed a lot and positively.
    2. They mistake you for someone else.
    3. They have ulterior motives.
    4. They are just weird...

Actually there is a saying that "Time beautifies events". As we get older we tend to romanticize a bit happenings that were quite ordinary. maybe it is the way we (aging people that is) view things...

yes it is easier to express emotions. But the emotions are there neverthless. So when SAM is getting those flirts, they speak of passion and love that is as true in real life without the shyness.

If they're gay guys they might think you're a snappy dresser based on your picture. If they're straight they are probably interested in being friends, with benefits, with you.

You never know. It depends on the guy. I'd be happy with someone to car pool with to work.

What's more odd is meeting someone on Facebook, meeting them in real life, then banging them 1/2 hour later
