coincidence? i think not!! we aren't even feeling the effects of CAFTA yet. how about a LIVING WAGE, i doubt it. how about funding social programs for the poor, no just the opposite. tax cuts and loopholes for corporations and the wealthy, of course. and the middle class, what middle class? this administration has done more to seperate the rich from the poor than anyone in my lifetime. www.nytimes.com/2005/08/31/national/31census.html?th&em...
Geez, why don't we just hand out money to anyone who wants it? Why don't we make the minimum wage $25/hour? Why don't we just give out money whether people work or not? Why don't we just steal all of the money from the rich and dole it out to the poor? Why don't we just let the poor go into stores and take whatever they want?' Why don't we just let YOU run the whole world? Baron Max
Inflation only hurts those with lots of money. Everyone else is cool with it. Max, I know you're old and cranky, and have plenty of money (or at least enough to get by on) in your retirement years, but try getting injured, without insurance when you only make $7.00 per hour. Don't forget, there is no vacation or sick days, so you won't get paid while you're away from work. You might even loose your job if it was serious enough because it's more efficient to hire on another worker from the overflow unemployed pool. Now, with no insurance, you have to pay the entire bill, not to mention any perscriptions you might need. Oh, and there's still power bills, rent and food to worry about. Face it, the system is fucked up.
Of course the system is fucked up. Currently we have only one senator who wasn't preceeded in politics by a family member.... *Cough* Oligarchy *Cough*
Well, hell, that's easy!! Let's just pay everyone $20 per hour plus we can throw in life, health, home and auto insurance, too!! Why not? Just let the people line up and we'll just hand it to 'em .....even those illegal immigrants, too. Geez, no big deal .......just add it to the taxpayer debt and we'll all be happy as pigs in shit on hot Texas day. Baron Max
