I downloaded this last night and i would advice you all to avoid it like the plague, here is a bit about the most awful film i have ever seen:

    Plot summary
30 Days of Night was a three-issue miniseries that jump-started the careers of writer Steve Niles and artist Ben Templesmith. Vampires flock to Barrow, Alaska where the sun sets for 30 days, allowing them to feed without the burden of sleep to avoid lethal sunlight. When the vampire elder Vicente learns of this plan, he travels to Barrow to end the feeding, in order to preserve the secrecy of vampires. Because of the cold, the vampires' senses are weakened and a few of the town's residents are able to hide. One such resident is Sheriff Eben Olemaun, who saves the town by injecting vampire blood into his veins. He uses his enhanced strength to fight Vicente, saving the lives of the few remaining townspeople, including his wife Stella. Suffering the same weakness as all vampires, Eben dies and turns to ash when the sun rises.

    ---------------

It was a total waste of 90mins, the vampres were dire, the acting was like watching a cholds school play but worse!!

There is a copy of the movie that circulates on the web and where almost 30 minutes of movie is lacking (guy who was recording was sleeping?)
Originally, movie length is 118 minutes.

Anyway, I didn't like it. Actually, it's not bad, but it could and should be better.
Beginning of the movie was promising, but it was lost after server shutdown scene.
Vampires are irritating, lame, downgraded to zombie level, squalling like PJ Orcs in LOTR trilogy (Marilyn Manson was an inspiration from some of them), speaking some retarded language consisted of "ick, mick, pick", while in the same time they understand meaning of word "god" ("God? There's no god!" chief vampire said while looking in the sky)?

Anyway, movie has one nasty authentic decapitation

    that can be seen here:

Also, it would be better if they payed attention to story not to CGI. I was lost in plot... Who were the vampires, how they came to Barrow, 30 days passes like 24 hours (no authenticity at all), very fast ending, etc.

I've rated it 6/10. I expected more, and this movie just proved to me that new horror movies are sinking deeper (hail to "The Descent" as the only true horror entry in the last couple of years)
