This thinking is akin to apartheid SA. Which of course was met by hysterical outcry in the West. Fence them in, build walls around them, and connect the two areas with a underground tunnel. They have to run like rabbits through a tunnel to get home after work. Is this the thinking one would like to hear from a potential head of state? Is this thinking even rational?
shit we can just say Israel land claim doesn't extend to the depths and let the palestinians create a warren of tunnels and caverns underneath Israel and call it the palestinian nation. I'm sure the resident pro-Israeli people here would love the dehumanizing aspect of this.
It makes sense, with Gaza and the West Bank unconnected, the need for continguous access to their own country coupled with Israel's sercurity concerns. I just wonder who would pay for it. They would probably dig up some interesting historical artifacts too.
The whole notion of a Palestinian Nation is a farce - a horrible joke. The only way forward is for both people to give up their beliefs in Judaism and Islam and are concurrently brainwashed (for a few generations) into thinking they are in actuality Phoenicians - then there is unity and maybe peace.
I think that sharon's strategy of building settlements in the west bank was a winning one because it will be politically and militarily impossible to extract them. The palestinians will eventually realize that they'll have to take whatever the israelis leave for them. Hopefully, this will be so little that most of them will migrate to non-arab countries over the next few decades (the arab countries won`t let them in) where they'll open tea-shops. The powers in the world that matter will have no problem with this. The arab-israelis should be shipped somewhere else just to clean up. Also, the iranians will launch a nuclear strike against israel. But they won't realize until too late that the missles where upside down which makes them the first power to (successfully) carry out genocide against their own people. Even though the world will have been wiped virtually clean of persians, it will take a very long time before jewish comedians feel comfortable enough to joke about it.
