So, I was fixing this computer for a client. He has a teenage son. Computer was full of the spam, spyware, porn and such that is normal for teenage boys to have on their computers from all their Kaaza, IM and etc usage.

But the computer was FULL of Eminem stuff, and Riced out car stuff. I find such stuff pretty humorous, but you know - whatever. So then his son pulls up to the house . . . TOTALLY riced up car (Honda with wing on the back, decals all over it, low profile tires -- other such idiocy). But then when the kid got out of the car, I chuckled in front of the dad - and had to pretend it was just a thought I'd had, their kids obviously wants to *look* just like Eminem! Short died blond hair, the dress - and the skinny white boy who thinks he is the biggest badass on the planet thing.

His attitude sucked, parents kept telling him to listen to what I was saying about keeping the computer safe and he was all "yeah, whatevA". (This is a middle class white boy in VERMONT - so his inner city drawl is REALLY stupid here!).

Anyways, I kept laughing at him. He clearly wished he could try to take me down.

The question --- any good resources for video, audio, graphics and such that mock this Eminem "Whigger" Rice-Boy attitude . . . so I can put it on his PC? :)

The lessons I learned about human nature from my skate park days as a teen are truely beyond valuable. It was a combative competitive lifestyle, where image was everything. I too was sucked into it all, and desperately worked at being as cool as possible. It was human nature magnified to the point of being a caricature.
I didn't really aim for the tough guy image at the time, was more of the wierd little unaffected too cool and yawning while he's pulling off "sick tricks" kid, I got in fights but it wasn't my "thing" and it was almost part of my style to shamelessly and comedically admit I was shitting myself when the 'coons' chased me through town.
Many skaters did go the tough hardcore punk route though.
And they found it very hard to maintain because the reality of being a skateboarder is you are a target for just about every other "group" in town. So many times would I be with someone down town when he'd be confronted by someone who he had already had a run in with or some such thing, this person would shove him, maybe even beat him up, certainly be the aggressor and the skater would be terrified, invariably the story when we got back to the skatepark involved the victim in the encounter telling everyone he "was just laughing at this guy".
You don't understand how consistently that phrase is used by someone unwilling to confess they were just owned in a social interaction. It would be impossible to count how many times I have been an eye witness to this phrase being used to mask the reality of an encounter.
They might have even been forcing a phoney laugh during the conflict, but they were shitting themselves, and they were dominated. The dominant guy might "laugh" but he won't just laugh.

It doesn't need to be physical, it can be words or glances, but in every person to person meeting there is a winner and a loser, OR a mutual submission. However mutual submission is a pleasant interaction, seen when nice women are introduced to one another at a dinner party or something like that- not what our thread starter has indicated he was involved in.

At the same time I don't dismiss it entirely since I haven't experienced anything of the sort, nor have I seen this state or someone who has achieved it.
