I really want to write something, but I've got writers' block. I need some input. I'm actually a decent writer, I'm just blank right now. Any ideas? Can be anything- short story or novel. Thanks!

Find a conspiracy theory to use as a plot. Xerxes 04-24-03, 04:20 PM Write about a dream you've had. The wierder the better. I've had some really wierd dreams and they're all great for short stories - even though I don't write many. Just describe it. Maybe add in a few characters, what not. Stories don't require much thought! Patriot 04-24-03, 05:17 PM I've thought about those, but I need specifics. I want something original- something that hasn't been done before. I'm sorry if I'm being too pushy, but it's kind of aggravating because I can usually think of something myself. Patriot spacemanspiff 04-24-03, 06:06 PM i went through the same thing recently. I felt like writing something but had no idea what. you know how they say "write what you know", well that's the path i'm taking. writing about the academic world. it's been working well because i get ideas from interactions i have and stories from other students. so maybe you should go with that approach. pick something you have alot of expereince in. Xerxes 04-24-03, 06:24 PM Alright, well here's one of my own. It's just the beginning of a story, but maybe it'll get you thinking. Really wierd, but my dreams are just like that.
