What's your favourite takeaway? I imagine this question has been asked a hundred times before but since there doesn't seem to be much activity on the 'free thoughts' board today I thought I'd bring it up. My favourite is without a doubt a nice indian curry (dhansak peri peri) but it seems at this time of night it is no longer available... so I'm settling for a kebab 'special'. And a can of pepsi (waiting for it now). What would you have?
KFC chicken strips, a box of popcorn chicken and 3 hot & spicy chicken wings. No fries though, they're awful.
Combination Sweet & Sour (Cantonese Style) Mmm Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I could go a nice curry, too. I'd love one now, but there's only a can of the stuff and it's bedtime. Maybe tomorrow I'll get some meat and make some.
Hmm, ya' know, just thinking about it, I haven't had take-out food or food delivered to my house since late summer of 1999. And just so you know, I haven't eaten a mean in a restaurant since I retired in Jan 2000. Now to amend that, I have had coffee and donuts or something like that at morning meetings or such ...but I don't consider that a "meal". Baron Max, certified rude old fart
Oh, yeah, but I consider that like a donut with coffee ...and that's really what and how we eat the things ....whatever the hell they are?! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Baron Max
We call it "takeout" in America. Black Sabbath did a song about "takeaway women." Americans had a hard time figuring it out. Chow fun. Fried wide flat rice noodles with lots of meat and stuff. In a pinch lo mein will do but that's wheat noodles, not as good a texture and not nearly as tasty. My wife can make just about anything else better than a restaurant.
